Penrith
Methodist Church was originally built in 1873. During 1995/6 a major
building scheme took place to link the church and halls together. (Click
here to see some pictures). It now gives the congregation and
community a well-planned, multifunctional building which includes:
- Disabled facilities
- Fully carpeted areas
- A new heating and lighting
system
- A raised area for drama and
music with a PA/sound system in the church
- Community facilities
- Refreshment facilities
- Use of TV/Video/OHP/PC Projector

Penrith
Methodist Church is available for use by charities, local
organisations, voluntary groups, businesses and churches. It is
suitable for meetings, conferences, presentations, exhibitions,
concerts, parties, etc.
Rooms
available are:
- The Church - suitable for
concerts and presentations. It comfortably seats 400 (200
downstairs and 200 upstairs) and has a full PA/sound system
including an induction loop for the hard of hearing.

- Sandgate Room - suitable for
meetings of up to 50 people. An induction loop system is
available for the hard of hearing.

- Upper Room - suitable for
smaller meetings of up to 30 people. There is a small kitchen
next to this room along with the Upper Link Area which is often
used with this room. An induction loop system is available for
the hard of hearing.

- Upper Room 2 - suitable for yet
smaller meetings of up to 15 people. An induction loop system is
available for the hard of hearing.

- Main Hall with stage - suitable
for parties, concerts, performances, fairs, exercise classes,
etc. An induction loop system is available for the hard of
hearing.

- Link Areas are available for
eating purposes.
There is a
large kitchen available for self-catering or, if required, your
catering needs can be professionally met.
Various
items of equipment are available including video projectors,
overhead projectors & screens, TVs & videos, flipcharts,
etc.
