Penrith Methodist Church
What goes on
Penrith Methodist Church offers a wide range of worship styles responding to the worshipping needs of a diverse congregation. Services follow the following pattern:
  • Weekly 9am: "The Early Service". A quieter type of service lasting no more than an hour and predominantly using the organ for accompaniment.
  • Weekly 10.45am: "The Later Service". A relaxed 'all age' act of worship. On the first Sunday of the month the children stay in and on other Sundays they have their own activities.
  • Once a Month:On the fourth Sunday we all come together at 10.45 for a joint service using the best of both styles. This will usually be followed by something special; lunch, walk etc.
  • Communion will be celebrated:
    9am on the third Sunday
    10.45 on the first Sunday
    6.30 on the fourth Sunday

Sunday and mid-week services are also offered by chapels in the Penrith Methodist Circuit

During the week we have several housegroups, Alpha courses and a variety of other activities, some of a sporting nature, others more relaxed.

The Bridge Youth, Church and Community project is now in full operation in its own premises across the road from the main Church building. Our full-time youth worker is in post and is hard at work developing the Youth programme. For further details, see Children andYouth Activities

New to our Church? - We would like to meet you. Please fill in one of the welcome cards and either hand it to one of the door stewards or put it in the Circuit Office Pigeon Hole in the Reception Area.
