Penrith Methodist Church

Music & Dance

We have a variety of musical groups who contribute to our worship in different ways:

  • Organists. The backbone of our music. When our building was redeveloped in the mid 1990's we bought a new organ from Ahlborn

We also have use of a wonderful Steinway piano courtesy of Penrith Music Club who use our church for their concerts and recitals.
  • Worship Groups. The groups aim to bring together those who feel they would like to offer their particular musical skill to God in a more contemporary way for the leading of worship. Material ranges from Celtic treatments of traditional hymns to the latest offerings from Hillsongs & Stoneleigh.
  • Taize/Choral Group. A group that is looking to explore music in the Taize and Iona styles as well as choral music..
  • Instrumental Group. A group of classical instrumentalists who occasionally assist our worship by playing some of the hymns.
  • Kids Alive. A choir specifically for the younger members of the congregation.
  • Dance Group.
